A little bit of history
Shifu and Shihan Eddie Jardine, is the founder of the Tai Chi International Society in and Ryukyu Kobujutsu in South Africa. has been on an in-depth journey in martial arts for over five decades. His openness to learning and studying various forms took him on many trips to China, Taiwan and Japan. On this path of learning he met Gansho Inoue Sensei, chief instructor of Ryukyu Kobujutsu in Japan. It led to a fruitful relationship and the expansion of Ryukyu Kobujutsu in South Africa and many countries throughout the world. This holistic martial arts that originates in Okinawa enjoys a strong following throughout the world today.
Eddie Jardine Shifu began teaching Tai Chi in the late 1970’s which became the first registered Tai Chi school in the country. He was taught by a number of Tai Chi masters throughout Asia. After many years of walking the path he settled on the Yang style taught to him by Duan You-zang Shifu practiced widely throughout the world. Eddie teaches workshops throughout the counrty and the world in both disciplines.

The spirit within which we practice is based on respect for each other and the philosophy that everyone learns from each other – the master learns from the student and the student learns from the master. This transfer of knowledge is enshrined in the concept of yin/yang.
